This is my menu for the week. Instead of assigning a recipe to each day, I just write down a list of recipes that I have the ingredients for. When it's time to cook dinner, I look at my list and decide what I feel like making. After I make something, I cross it off the list.
For Father's day I made Tom some of Cook's Illustrated's Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies. I felt like they lived up to the description. Aren't they pretty? I love the shiny, crackly tops. The edges were crispy but the interiors very soft. They reminded me of the cookies from the mall but in a good way - no weird chemical taste.
